AB 1199: Excise Tax on Rental Property Owners

Assembly Bill 1199 was introduced on February 18, 2021 by Assemblyman Mike Gipson which is intended to implement an annual excise tax for the privilege of renting/leasing out qualified properties. Should this Bill pass, it would take effect immediately upon the signing of Governor Newsom.
