The Judicial Council of California has voted 19-1 to end the state’s moratorium on foreclosures and evictions that is currently in effect through midnight on September 1st.
The legislative branch; however, continues to negotiate a solution by proposing:
AB 1436 which seeks to extend the rent moratorium for 15 months after the COVID-19 state of emergency terminates or until April 1, 2022, whichever is earlier.
